What you need before connecting
Use a supported WordPress site over HTTPS, an account with suitable publishing permissions, and a WordPress Application Password. WordPress.com support depends on its plan's API capabilities. Follow the setup guide rather than sharing your normal login password.
Choose draft or live delivery
Use draft delivery when an editor should make the final decision inside WordPress. Automatic release in Essel and publishing a WordPress post live are separate settings. Test the complete flow with one article before enabling routine delivery.
Understand updates and media
A linked article can be re-published to update the existing WordPress post. Image upload and formatting depend on the destination response and supported content. Inspect the resulting post rather than assuming a successful content transfer guarantees every media asset is present.
A practical first publishing check
